How to use
Now that you're set up, let's go over what you can expect out of the Writer Chrome Extension. The extension will generally appear on basic, multi-line text fields such as body text, but not so much on subject lines or titles.
As you are writing, Writer will underline errors or issues that are applicable from your Styleguide:
Clicking on your score, or clicking on the underlined segment, will expand the side panel with the flagged issues. These will have corresponding suggestion cards listed below the categories.
Each card gives the error and a suggested fix. To approve the suggestion, click on the green highlighted correction. The correction will be applied to the body of your text. You can also ignore the suggestion (the trash can icon), flag it as wrong, or add the term to your term bank.
Not all issues will have a suggestion in green. You can rewrite the flagged content to apply the guidance from the card.
After applying your suggestions, your score will improve, and once completed, will read 100%.
You can hide the side panel by clicking the double arrow icon at the top right. You can refresh the score by clicking on the circular score icon.
