Accessing the Prompt library
You can access the Prompt library within the input field of Ask Writer by selecting the Prompt library icon. This can be found in the Ask Writer widget on Writer Home or within an Ask Writer session:
Using prompts
Use the filters on the left menu or the search bar to find the prompt you’d like to use.
Select the copy icon to copy the prompt to your clipboard. Alternately, select the Use button to load the prompt directly into your Ask Writer input field. You can edit the prompt, replace any variables with your own data, and submit the input when you're ready.
Using personal prompts
Personal prompts are private prompts that you can create and manage for your individual use. These prompts are not shareable with other teammates and are not visible to team admins.
Creating personal prompts
To create a personal prompt for the first time, open the Prompt library and select Start adding from the My prompts tab.
To create additional personal prompts, select the My prompts tab and select the New button.
From there, fill out the following fields:
- Title - This is how we will organize your prompts.
- Prompt - Include your entire prompt here. Any text wrapped in single curly brackets {like this} will be treated as a variable. As in the regular Prompt Library, variables will be displayed in blue text. After loading a prompt into Ask Writer, users can select a variable to add their own custom information.
- Tags - Add or create any relevant tags to help you find related prompts more quickly. Tags are searchable.
Managing personal prompts
Your personal prompts are stored at the user level within an organization, allowing you to access across them even if you switch between different Writer teams.
You can search for personal prompts by title, prompt content, and tags.
You can also filter by the tags you’ve set up by selecting them from the left menu. Your personal prompts can be sorted by date added, A-Z, and Z-A (based on prompt title).
To edit, delete, or copy a personal prompt, select the ••• three dot menu to the right of the prompt.
